SALT of Palmar expresses its deepest gratitude to Mauritian Emergency Responders

In these unprecedented times, the frontline essential workers including nurses, doctors, police, food delivery couriers and grocery store attendants, working tirelessly to take care of us, deserve our deepest gratitude.

To give back to the first responders for their heroic work in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic, SALT of Palmar is giving ten essential workers a well-deserved two-night complimentary stay.

The homegrown, progressive hotel is asking people whose lives were touched by an essential worker during this crisis to nominate their hero and share their appreciation on their own Facebook page with the hashtag #CollectivelyWeCare, as well as a description of their role and place of work.

The top ten posts with the most likes will win their nominated essential worker a two-night stay on full board basis gift card at SALT of Palmar within the first month of the hotel’s re-opening, as well as a cooking class and a relaxing 30-minute Salt room experience at SALT Equilibrium, which is designed not just to recharge, but also boost immunity. This campaign is now open for nomination and will end on 31 May 2020.

“These brave people have put the needs of others above their own and we wanted to take this opportunity to honour them. Their courage in putting themselves on the frontline of this fight kept our loved ones safe,” said Raj Reedoy, General Manager of SALT of Palmar.

Active members of their local community, Team Members at SALT of Palmar also produced 500 reusable, double-ply face masks made from cotton bed linen for the police and underprivileged persons of Belle Mare village at the start of the confinement.

More details on entry submission can be found on SALT Resort’s Facebook account.
