Global luxury hospitality group The Lux Collective is proud to announce that LUX* Grand Baie, its newest iconic hotel, has been awarded the highly coveted 5-Star Luxury Accreditation by the Mauritius Tourism Authority. The highest distinction for hotels on the island state, this prestigious recognition was presented after a rigorous evaluation process with strict adherence to criteria and regulations set for service excellence.

LUX* Grand Baie now joins an exclusive circle of nine Mauritian establishments in the country with this distinction – an exemplary 5-star hotel that offers exceptional services and luxurious amenities in terms of location, architecture, interior design, leisure and wellness activities, as well as culinary offerings. In addition, the resort has also won international awards including the esteemed Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating and Robb Report Annual Best of the Best - The Best In Travel for Island Getaway. These recognitions cement LUX* Grand Baie's position as a premier destination for discerning travelers seeking a tranquil island getaway on one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition within 16 months of opening. Since the inception, our goal has been to establish ourselves as the best luxury resort in Mauritius, with elevated standards to create a distinctive first-of-its-kind experience. It is a testament to our team's dedication to push the boundaries and deliver Life Extraordinary travel experiences to our guests,” said Ashish Modak, Chief Operating Officer EMEA at The Lux Collective. “This accreditation has further positioned LUX* Grand Baie in the global luxury sector, with its world-class service and new take on luxury hospitality.”

Leading the way to heighten guest service, the resort features a state-of-the-art LUX* Me Spa experience, with holistic wellbeing programmes, personalised massages, a hydrothermal journey, and multi-sensory experiences around the healing effect of water. Designed with sustainability in mind by award-winning British interior designer Kelly Hoppen CBE, and Mauritian architect Jean-Francois Adam, the accommodations include stylish suites and villas with neutral colours, contemporary bathtubs and high-tech elements which cater to couples and families. Epicureans will be spoilt for choice as the resort’s three restaurants with distinct dining concepts offer inventive menus. Beach Rouge is the restaurant and beach club, Bisou features a spacious rooftop terrace with an infinity pool overseeing the Indian Ocean, while Ai KISU offers sophisticated Asian cuisine, adorned with modern Japanese art.
